Dawn raid in the grocery sector

The Norwegian Competition Authority has today conducted a dawn raid in the grocery sector in Norway.

The Competition Authority carried out the inspection amongst others in light of findings made during an examination of the purchasing conditions in the grocery sector.

– The purpose of the inspection is to establish whether or not any breaches of the Competition Act have been committed, says Director Beate Milford Berrefjord.

The Competition Authority releases information about today’s dawn raid following a public statement from Orkla.

– The Competition Authority will carefully examine the information that has been gathered during the inspection. Further comments regarding the Authority’s investigation cannot be given at this stage, says Berrefjord.
