The Norwegian Competition Authority has initiated an investigation against an industry association for possible infringement of the Competition Act.
– The Competition Authority investigates whether illegal price coordination has taken place under the direction of an industry association. The Authority opened the investigation following indications of possible exchanges of competitively sensitive information under the Covid-19 pandemic. The Authority has collected information with the view to establish whether or not any breaches of the Competition Act have been committed, says Director of Investigation Kari Bjørkhaug.
