The Norwegian Competition Authority conducted an unannounced inspection at the premises of several driving schools in November.
– The Norwegian Competition Authority has reasonable grounds to believe that there has been illegal cooperation in violation of Section 10 of the Competition Act between driving schools and has therefore conducted an unannounced inspection to confirm or refute this suspicion, says Beate Berrefjord, Department Director at the Norwegian Competition Authority.
The inspections were conducted with prior authorisation from the District Court, and the Norwegian Competition Authority has seized relevant materials that will be reviewed.
The Norwegian Competition Authority cannot provide specific names or locations of the driving schools. General inquiries can be directed to the Authority’s press contact.
