Dawn raid in the market for alarm and security services

The Norwegian Competition Authority has conducted a dawn raid to secure evidence regarding the market for alarm and security services.

– The purpose of gathering evidence is to determine whether or not there has been a violation of the Competition Act’s prohibition of illegal cooperation, says acting director of investigations Svenn Gaulen.

The fact that the Competition Authority has carried out a dawn raid does not imply that any undertakings in this market have broken the law.

The investigation is still ongoing.

The Norwegian Competition Authority cannot comment specifically on this case, but the Authority’s press telephone will be served during normal working hours, if there is a need for general information about the process
