In January, the Norwegian Competition Authority (NCA) conducted an unannounced inspection at the premises of several companies related to the Norwegian book market.
– The background for the inspection is that the NCA investigates a possible breach of the Competition Act, § 10. The case concerns a possible illegal cooperation related to exchange of sensitive information, says legal director Karin Stakkestad Laastad.
The District Court (Tingretten) approved the inspection and the Authority has seized relevant material.
– The inspection is completed, and the Authority will now analyse the documentation obtained from the inspection, says Stakkestad Laastad.
The Norwegian Competition Authority cannot give any further information at this point. For general information about the further process, please contact the Authority’s press contact.
